Generation, Inc : The 100 Best Businesses for Young Entrepreneurs by Elina Furman, Leah FurmanThis one of the best references I have seen for information about starting your own business. Not only is it clear and concise, it's pretty darn funny too. The authors have a unique (and sometimes twisted) sense of humor that made this a pleasure to read. There are some excellent tips about getting motivated and gathering information. The first section is devoted to the details needed for any business venture and the second section lists 100 different businesses that are best for young entrepreneurs. Don't let the "young" part scare you, I am over 40 and I found this book to be a great read. Each business listing in section two has information such as associations, magazines, equipment required, startup costs and marketing tips. This is NOT a "Get Rich Quick" guide, this is a great educational tool for anyone interested in being your own boss. Check it out and quit your day job!Click here to go back to kiyotei's den
