From "History" is completely preserved, only the first five, the others came in more or less detailed presentation. Other works of Polybius did not survive. Based on the teachings of the Stoics of anticipation, it came to the history of metaphysics, which is considered as the last struggle of the peoples and individuals against the power of fate.
