SUPER adorable. :)

Definitely worth a read. SO cute and I really appreciated the fact that there wasn't any smut for once. (too many YA books have them these days) Put a nice big smile on my face reading it.

Not For Me

I wish I liked this more than I did. I mean it was good. It was nice. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut it could've been so much greater. I just didn't like the majority of the characters, and the villian thing was sooooo forced. The book had to tell us repeatedly Catherine and Mark and Chloe and everyone was evil BEFORE they started acting evil. I just didn't like it. I kind of wish Starfield had been explained better as well. I don't think it was necessarily bad the way it was talked about, but when a fandom is a character's whole world I want to be able to be a part of that fandom. Though I had some pretty strong feelings about the book itself, the author of Eliza and Her Monsters, Francesca Zappia, does this really well. She even actually wrote the comic that was referenced in her book (though I have not looked at it myself). I appreciate that level of dedication. Not that the author had to go that far, but painting a vivid picture of the fandom to me is hugeeee in stories like this. The ending is good though. Really good. It'll hit all your Cinderella fawning needs. It almost made me forget some of the other stuff. What can I say? I'm a sucker for romance. Three cows.

Fantastic

Look to the stars. Aim. Ignite. Though it may be fanciful, Geekerella is an inspiring, charming story about Elle- a geeky girl that any fangirl can relate to. I loved this book because it was exciting, adorable, funny, and a fresh new take on Cinderella. I am normally sceptical when it comes to "modern day Cinderella" stories, but this did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this book to young adults and up, even to the most critical of readers.
