Helen Hayes chronicles her journey through the greatest difficulties of her life, including the death of her husband, in small excepts throughout this book. The rest of the book is filled with inspirational quotations that helped carry her through those difficult times. Ms. Hayes' exceptional intelligence and rich literary experience sets this book far and above other inspirational collections. A note: Ms. Hayes is addressing trauma vs. day-to-day living. This is more of a handbook to take to the hospital than chicken soup. If you like to read this genre, this is the one book that you HAVE to include in your library. If you don't normally read this type of book, this is one book in the category that you will want to read.
