MISSING HAWAII

AS THE OWNER OF 20 OF GARY REED'S WORK. IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO RECIEVE A COPY OF THIS BOOK. I CAN'T DISCRIBE THE MEANING OF PEACE! BUT YOU FEEL IT LOOKING INTO HIS PAINTINGS.

A Walk Through The Islands

Flipping through Gary Reed's book is like taking a walk through the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Every painting captures the magical setting of the lush mountains, waterfalls and local landscapes. He takes you to places in his art that your own feet can't find. I have not seen an artist recreate the Hawaiian landscape as nature intended it to be better than Gary Reed. His book allows you to see the Old Hawaii, no skyscrapers, highways or hotels. Gary Reed's paintings are Hawaii.

Awesome

This was an awesome book. Gary's paintings are truly amazing and really brings the energy of Hawaii right out of the pages. I'm an ex-Hawaii resident in the cold mainland now and feel that this is a MUST HAVE for anyone away from our island home.

Truly, Amazing Talent

Gary Reed's paintings exudes talent, inspiration, and his love for the art. He paints with passion and is able to capture all of it, whether it be a landscape, people, or an inanimate object. He's a true artist with endless talent.

This beautiful book captures the feel of living in Hawaii

A truly stunning book. I lived in Hawaii for 15 years, and Reed's paintings evoke some of my best memories. This is the Hawaii that tourists rarely see: the vistas of the Pali cliffs that you see on a hike along a little-known trail; the sleepy rural settings illuminated with the light of early morning. While thumbing through this book I could feel the soft, fragrant air, and remember laguid days of exploration.Reed's landscapes have a strong emotional undertone that goes beyond his skillful representation of real scenes.Buy this book for a wonderful mid-winter trip to paradise!
