Gardner's Art Through the Ages: Non-Western Perspectives

I regularly assign this book for a Non-Western Humanities class. I have read most of the comperable texts out there, and this text is the best in terms of cultural background information and clear writing style. The choice of artwork is thoughtful and provides a good overview to each culture. My students generally give me excellent reviews of the textbook. Highly recommended for university instruction.
