A welcome treatment of a difficult subject

Here on the Outer Banks of NC, trash is a constant source of debate. The county has to truck what I throw away almost 60 miles to the county landfill -- and charges us accordingly. Ms. Hall's treatment of an often-avoided subject is concise and incisive. It's written for the generation that will have to deal with the consequences of our "throw-away" society. I found it extremely interesting and I hope it will get more readers thinking about their "trashy" behaviour.
