A Must For Any Jets Fan

This is a well-written history of the New York Jets. It covers the one great accomplishment (Super Bowl III) and the many failures and disappointments. As a fan you love the team and always get your hopes even though you know they will dash them in the end. This book covers those emotions well.

superb writing...and oh, the pain of being a Jet fan

Well written, exciting and very difficult to relive all the abysmal moments in Jets history. END

Must read for all Jets (NFL) fans !

A superb account of a franchise that dedicated fans have had a love-hate relationship with for decades. Brought me back to sitting in Shea Stadium watching the jets come close to winning seasons year after year, always thinking "wait till next year."

Jets football history in all it's faded glory!!!

As a die hard Jets fan for about 10 years, I was thrilled to find a book detailing the ups and downs of one of America's most storied sports franchises. The information contained in this book is absolutely priceless! A must read for Jets fans of all ages.

This is a comprehensive sports metaphor for failure.

Using the tableau of an unsuccessful sports franchise, this book examines the culture of losing. It shows how the tendency to fail can permeate a team (or any organization for that matter) and create an expectation of futility for all who join on. It is as entertaining-with its comprehensive list of bizarre jets anecdotes- as it is informative about the history of pro-football's relationship with America and in explaining how so much could possibly go wrong to one team.
