Gamerz

Gamerz Heaven truly is a creation of Maki Murakami, the creator of Gravitation. It takes on the art style of the last few manga's of Gravitation, and alot of the Gamerz Heaven characters look like those of Gravitation. (Such as Rage who looks like Yuki) The storyline is exciting, which feature the main character getting sucked into the world of his video game and being forced to save Nata, a character with the power to transport individuals from the game to the realworld. Only problem, if something gets destroyed in this world the real world is affected, and if he dies, he truly does die. The character designs are nice, as I said, they look like the characters from Gravitation toward the end of the manga series. In any case the characters are really beautiful, especially the child Nata and Lost Soul, who become the cutest things in the book. The humor is still there, with random drawings of over-the-top scenes. And, for non-yaoi fans out there, its a perfect manga. Rating: A+

NOT Shonen-ai

First off I'd like to say this is not Shonen-ai because A: Nata is a computer program. B: It looks that Kawashima "Likes" Kaito. O.K. Now that I got that out of the way I have to say this is a great manga. The main character, Kaito, reminds me of myself. A videogame driven guy who would rather play videogames then do anything else. My friend bought it for me because she took one look and sayed "That's ___". So buy this if you like Action and Videogames.

sweet shonen-ai

ok, this book is so cute. it is writen by one of my fav manga artist Maki Murakami, the author of "Gravitation" (also a good book) it's all about RPG lover Kaito, a high schooler with a major love for video games. one day he gets a game in the mail called "Gamerz Heaven". when he starts it up, he finds him self sucked into the virtual world where if you die, you disappear from the real world. in the game he meets "the navigator" who Kaito calls Nata. in the game, the villians want to get thier hands on Nata so they can go to Kaito's world. can Kaito save his new friend? i should give warning that this book is shonen-ai (guy on guy). it isn't graphic at all, at least from what i have seen. only in context can you see Kaito's feelings for Nata. for those who don't like shonen-ai, i wouldn't recommend this because i have heard that it is shonen-ai and not just appears to be, so there maybe more action later, but nothing too graphic because it is only rated for 13 years or older. the art is really great and i love the plot line. it's a real hoot, so i definently suggest this book.

Truly Maki Murakami?

Is this book truly by Maki Murakami, the creator of the Gravitation manga? It sure is. THe style has changed a lot, but for the better. Suzuki Kaito is sucked into a beta release of the game known as "Gamerz Heaven" and there he meets the young boy commonly called Navigator. But the mere mention of the word "Navigator" will draw all the monsters to Kaito. And if you die in the game, you disappear in the real world. With a limited number of saves/exits, Kaito must defeat the game and fulfill his personal goal and save the Navigator. The drawing style is great, as always it is with Murakami, and I highly recommend this, even if it's not Murakami's usual genre.
