So disappointing......

This is probably the most excruciating text I’ve ever read. I thought I was reading someone’s book report with quotations from historians and the most often, annoying repeated phrase ...”as previously mentioned”, “ As previously discussed“, “as noted earlier”.... truly amazing. I’m halfway through the book and I still don’t know that much about the Maceo family. 🥱. This story is dying to be told, by someone. Hopefully, someday we will have a definitive text on this family in Texas. Sadly, this isn’t it.
