Great characters and relationships.

I lived on Avenue L so it was fun that the character did also. Great characters and a page turner. Love the multi generational timeline as well.

Galveston

Absolutely one of my favorite books! I read it the first time nearly 30 years ago, and have recommended it (and loaned it out) to lots of friends, who have also loved it! I recommended it to a friend & co-worker, who lives in Galveston and she, in turn, shared it with her mother. They especially enjoyed the hometown aspects of this wonderful book. It is the multi-generational story of three women, linked together by a city, and actual historical events, that shaped their lives and their destinies! It is a truly a gem! I have always thought that it would make a great movie!

Excellent book

This is one of the most interesting and exciting books that I have ever read, and I've read a lot. The characters and the history are fascinating.

History and a Twist!

Alas! I came here looking for Galveston, by Suzanne Morris to give to a new friend I've made who loves to read. This is a wonderful novel with rich characters, some terrific history of Galveston Island, and a surprising plot twist!I guess I'll have to keep looking!

Very disappointed to find Galveston is out-of-print.

Galveston by Suzanne Morris is one of those novels that I like to re-read every year or so. I did check it out from the library, but I really wanted my own copy. I am so very disappointed to find that it is out-of-print.
