While I have been researching Gainsborough's fascinating past history, I have often come across the various names of Yards & Places that was spread throughout the Town. (These names often changed as different owners of the premises moved out, it would then take the name of the new owner. ie: Popples Yard, who was the name of the Tallow Chandler that lived & owned the Yard, this has now been changed and it still is known as Chapel Yard, Market St)...
