Mirroring the medical model, this book teaches healthcare quality improvement by implementing diagnosis of the problem, problem management, analysis, change, and leadership in system improvement. Pre- and post-lesson vignettes include patients as part of the treatment team. This intentionally puts emphasis on shared decision making. Post-lesson tools include specific exercises and questions to assist readers in encoding the preceding information. Graphs and tables are well designed and positioned to not interrupt the text.
