Clear, concise, illustrated

This was the standard A and P text book when I was in college. It is still, after all these years, an excellent resource. Admittedly it is now dated, but the basics are still true and this book is clear, well illustrated and he does an excellent job of explaining each topic. Example topics: Cell Physiology, Blood and Immunity, Cardiovascular System, Urinary System, Respiration, Nervous System, Gastrointestinal and metabolic Systems, Endocrinology and Reproduction. Good index. Graphs, charts,and sketches (all B & W) on almost every page helps explain the concepts. I recently took an medical technical class and this was still a good reference for the anatomy and physiology section of that course. In my opinion, at these prices you can't go too far wrong purchasing this good medical reference book for your library. My ed. was published in 1969 and has 475 pages
