can't go wrong- for the budding artist young or old

this is SO nice! - it is a great primer in shapes, geometry- design, its good for refreshing the adult eye to observe patterns in architecture and nature for use in art activities - and for the young learning to apply patterns to their own designs. This would be a great gift for the younger creative child who has an artistic parent(s) who will enthusiastically supervise. A great field trip for young and old would be museums- anywhere really, to compare the patterns they see with the great stamp patterns included in this package. I could wish for a couple changes in the design of the book with it but overall this is an awesome package at such an affordable price- don't miss out on this for your budding artist (or yourself)! sooo much better than the dime store junk toys - this set will be useful a LONG WHILE in many applications for the whole family. I bought this for use in making cards for border designs and, as mentioned simply refreshing my eye to the wonders of pattern everywhere in our lives. It has a magnetic catch so when you close it- it snaps shut. a nice touch! I paid under $10.00 total, for my set.
