Love it

One of my 20-month-old's favorite books -- she asks for "foo, foo, foo" (full, full, full) all day long. The story of a warm, loving, large family dinner at Grandma's house is timeless and sweet. Living in a primarily caucausian neighborhood, I am happy to have children's books that depict diverse faces.

What a loving book

This book makes you feel at home and draws you into it. Very good illustrations. My son loves it

Delicious family feast

This book is a great story about Sunday dinner at Grannie's house. Jay Jay's mother drops him off at Grannie's house one morning while she goes off to pick up his father. Jay Jay helps his grandmother set the table and feed her fish, but he's quite hungry. Finally, the rest of the dinner guests arrive and they sit down to enjoy a spectacular feast together. After dinner, everyone is full, happy, and tired. The book is engaging and not at all scary. It has about 500 words.

Nice Family Dinners

Very sweet book with beautiful illustrations. My "almost three year old" loves it. We cuddle and hug while we read it like they do in the book. The author portrays the importance of family gathering for dinner and bonding with one another.
