Great book - If you read it you will pass the test!

I borrowed this book from a friend and yes it was very lengthy but all of the information was useful and you should be aware of it if you plan to teach. I just completed a MA and was transitioning from industry to education and I found this to be a great refresher course for elementary topics. I procrastinated and did not have time to read the whole thing but after the test, I looked up every question I thought I missed and found them in this book! The book covers a lot of stuff that was not on the test, of course they cannot know what questions will be chosen for the actual test but it did cover every question that was on the test!

FTCE Elementary Education K-6

This book gives a very good overall of what is expected to be on the FTCE exam. It has a written quiz with answers. It also has a computer disc exam. Both exams come with an answer key and a detailed explanation of the answer.

Excellent study guide

I bought the study guide to prepare for the K-6 subject area exam. I found it to be easy to read, well organized, and up to date. When I took the test I had no problem passing it easily. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who needs to pass the test. One word of caution-make sure that before you purchase any guide you check the date when it was printed. I have taken several tests of this nature and they do change the tests fairly regularly. Education is continually changing and subject matter is added that some people are not familiar with. Overall, an excellent buy for the money.

Best Elementary Education Test Prep!

This book was full of clear and concise explanations and followed the state competencies very closely. I studied for the Elementary Education test only using this book and I passed my test with flying colors (I got my results on the computer today). If you study everything that is in this book and complete all of the practice exams you will be ready on D-day! PS: The test was heavy on teaching strategies so please do all of the pratice tests in this book. Also, make sure to know all of your formulas in maths, there is however a math reference sheet provided for your use on exam day.The passing rate for this test is 64% so you have plenty of room for errors. Study hard and good luck!
