Common "cents" not so common!

I found The "Frugal Millionaires" to be an insightful book with complex ideas made simple and easy to understand. Though I do a pretty good job monitoring my finances, the book made me re-evaluate my spending habits and helped me stay focused on my retirement investment goals. Of the top fifteen best practices illustrated in the book, "nickel and dime you to death daily spending" hit home the most. Now in an effort to save more money for investing, I ask myself if I really need that Starbuck's and try to eat at home more often. If more Americans were smarter with their money, the country probably wouldn't be in the financial crisis that it is in today. I'm recommending this book to my family and friends!

Exhale - great gift for holiday!

Lehman's book, The Frugal Millionaires, is a breath of fresh air, contrary to the media's consumerist depiction of lavish spending being a key ingredient to becoming a millionaire. The millionaires I know, like Lehman's interview subjects, are people who look just like everyone else, are smart business people, incredibly generous with charitable projects, and rarely spend recklessly. General concepts on wealth-building are very important - and that's coming from someone who marketed personal financial education books such as Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad series - but I particularly value the specific practical tips Lehman offers over and over, since that is where the rubber meets the road in building wealth. I appreciate the format of the book - as an easy-to-read guide - so when I'm dealing with a particular subject, like how to handle stock options, taxes or credit cards, I can flip to that section and have 70 millionaires in my back pocket giving me their advice on the matter. Brilliant! I'm more than recommending it - I'm buying this for friends and family this Christmas - it's a timely gift to loved ones in our current economic climate!

Every Recent Grad Must Buy "Frugal Millionaires"

Frugal Millionaires is an excellent read for anyone seeking simple ways to save and accumulate wealth! It is a compilation of advice from various millionaires who have built prosperity and know the ins and outs of growing money. As a recent graduate, the book is like a roadmap to financial success in the way it reveals the paths that others have taken toward great wealth. Lehman does a great job of explaining specific terms and ideas that I was unfamiliar with, and was able to compile a vast array of expert opinions that are extremely useful. I highly recommend (especially for recent college grads)!

A terrific guidebook to affluence!

Packed with practical information on how to become and stay financially secure, this book quickly grabs your attention and is hard to put down. It takes the mystery out of wealth attainment and replaces it with sound strategies that are easy to understand and apply. From Investments to Mortgages to Credit Cards to Marriage, this book has something for everyone. It will be one of the most useful and enjoyable books you will ever read, particularly considering today's economic climate. Its candor and use of humor is a refreshing plus as well....enjoy!

Being Frugal is Smarter Than Being Cheap! [Just Ask Warren Buffett]

Warren Buffett surely qualifies both for inclusion in the book's topic group as well as being a wonderful role-model for the money motto--"being frugal is smarter than being cheap." For those of millions of us who are Buffett-Watchers and, perhaps, Buffett-Admirers, this handy tome is another very sound guide to the lifestyle of which Warren would heartily approve. In this challenging economy of the 21st Century, I am holding onto my Berkshire-Hathaway shares as well as keeping my copy of "The Frugal Millionaires" on my night stand. The 70 millionaires who constitute the book's source of hundreds of common sense ideas are further proof that being frugal is smarter than being cheap...all the while growing wealth.
