Handy Travel Guide for Calgary

"Frommer's Calgary" is a very practical guide for planning vacation travel to Calgary, Canada. The City of Calgary is located on the edge of the Great Plains in Alberta Province. The Canadian Rockies and the famous resort town of Banff are located an hour's drive west of Calgary, but careful travelors will devote time to exploring Calgary first. Frommers guide to Calgary offers an excellent assortment of information in a handy and portable size, including accomodations, dining, attractions, shopping, and useful information on how to get around the city. Among other attractions, Calgary has an impressive provincial museum, zoo, several military museums, and many of the venues for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. It is also home to the Calgary Stampede, a major rodeo event. This guide is highly recommended to travelers planning a trip to Calgary, and to prior visitors who may find they missed a few attractions.
