From The Heart

The poems within this Chapbook reflect the intensity of love within a marriage. Though the unity of two people is not always "a bed of roses," the marriage survives because both have acknowledged that only love matters. So, as one reads through these poems, one may think, "I guess they had some very difficult times. Some poems aren't even loving." This is true. I don't know of any marriage where there haven't been those very testy moments or hours. But, their union continues for decades and always there is this one underlining theme, love. My love for my husband Michael is strong and sure, but that is not to say we haven't survived some challenges. We have, together. Maybe, that's the answer. Together we cross the barriers. Together we jump the hurdles. Together we move on.
