I first found this book in Berkeley, CA in 1968. I was stationed at the Presidio of Monterrey - a Defense Department language school. My roommate lived in nearby El Cerrito. We went to town and I found it. I loved the artwork and was all over the ironic humor. My roommate's dog ate a corner of the book!! I was angry and heartbroken, but I kept the book all through the years - referring to it from time to time. When the new smaller version became available, I had to have it to complete the set and also have a portable version. A great, fun read with a lot of truths too!
Great humor, short book

I remember seeing this book on the shelves when I was 13 years old, and knew what book it was when I saw it was back in print. This is a classic in military humor and illustration and well worth picking up.
An excellent military library pick
