A must read if you want to change your life. I first read this work nearly 10 years ago, and was surprised to learn that it was originally published in 1959. We tend to think that self-help wisdom is a recent discovery, but the truth is really timeless. With beautiful simplicity, this book explains how we got where we are in life and how we can get anywhere else we want to be. The authors just sit you down by the seat of your pants and say, "Here's how it works!" It is very reminiscent of "Key To Youself" by Venice Bloodworth - simple, direct, and dramatically effective.
One of the best self-help books I have ever read

I just wanted to say that I found this book very enlightening. I've always heard or read about how our consciousness affects us. I've read a few of Dr. John Sarno's books but this book took it much further. I've read it twice and picked up even more the second time through. I found myself making a lot of notes on the side. I'm glad to see that we ARE destined to live life to its fullest and I plan to take the action given in this book to do this. It all makes sense now.
A brilliantly Powerful Blueprint for the Mastery of life.

Providence must be involved with my reading this wonderful book. This is the first text I read that really discusses the mechanics of why we have certain experiences and how we can upgrade them tangibly in all areas. Thanks to this book, I now understand that I really do have much more control over my life than I previously thought. Life is not just a series of chance events in a disconnected, unfriendly universe. I am fascinated to read how we have all inherited mental genetic traits or patterns that in large measure cause positive/or negative life experiences and that we can change the ones we don't like to produce much better results. How our understanding, combined with what we think, what we say plus how we act, affects our present and future. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to upgrade his or her experiences. A truly revolutionary and profound volume for all mankind.
A great book explaining consciousness and how it effects us

The book is a great book that explains consciousness and the effects that it has on our lives. The book not only uses logic as its basis for the conclusions, but true and justifiable evidence and experimentation. The book is one of a kind and a classic that should endure. It has theories such as Universal Consciousness and genetic effects on the mind, as well as the effects of the media and positive/negative thinking. The information available in this book is priceless because of the evidence that is included in it! I've been fortunate enough to meet the author and I have to say that he is perhaps the most interesting man I've met. I recommend this book to everyone, as a writer and social scientist myself. A similar book is Viktor Frankl's "A Man's Search for Meaning."
