From God's Heart to Yours: A personal journey into heaven

This compilation of short meditations was written over the course of three years evolving out of personal experience and study. The reader is invited to browse through them at random and select one for each sitting. The primary purpose of these articles is to prepare individuals for the return of their King. To that end, we must grow and mature spiritually. Beginners will find hope in gentle love as Jesus Christ bids you to dig deeper and develop a more personal relationship with him and dependency on him. Long time believers will find food for thought and unique ways to connect the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation into a complete message from God. A common theme is the connectedness of the Old Testament with the New Testament. The teachings of Jesus are the foundation of personal Christianity. Covering wide-ranging ideas and applications, these articles follow historical events and spiritual principles to give better understanding of Biblical interpretation, always using the teachings of Jesus and his approach to the scriptures. Only individuals can find salvation in this age. If you take his teachings to heart and apply them to your life, you will grow and mature and be ready for his return. Section One covers a variety of concepts and ideas pertaining to the covenants God made with Abraham and subsequent renewal of them by Jesus. Efforts to bring all Israelites into an understanding of God's love for them and his hatred of sin and Idolatry were finally exhausted. So the Mosaic covenant was broken and abandoned resulting in the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 586 BC followed by the first diaspora. Section Two is written in first person so the reader may read and pray exactly the words provided. Meditations are meant to be pondered and researched to gain the most value from them. Don't hurry through them but savor each one as you grow in understanding. Section Three is about the fullness of time as mentioned in Galatians 4:4-6 - 4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Here you will find explanations about the historical conditions under which Christ came into the world.The current age is the age of Classical Greek culture. This worldwide culture has great value in that it promotes individualism and freedom. Classical Greek Culture (in its modern form) encourages the idolatry of man and allows everyone to worship as they choose. This is the basis upon which Paul preached to the Athenians about 'The Unknown God' (Acts 17:22-31)The parables of Jesus represent the essence of his teachings. If you were raised in a Christian tradition you will be quite familiar with a few of them. Here is your jumping off point from lost to found, from judgement to forgiveness, from tares to wheat, from hate to love, from duplicity to truth. These simple stories reveal the essence of God's heart spoken in plain language whose morals can be understood by children. God knows we live in difficult times and in a difficult place. He made promises to save us and help us. These parables are our revelation of God's heart to us. When you recognize yourself in the story, you are on your way to a better life. The message in this book is that everyone can benefit from searching their heart and finding that one thing that prevents them from saying 'yes' to the call of Jesus.
