Shows do-it-yourselfers how to select second-hand furniture pieces, fix them up, and turn them into beautiful decorative works in 12 step-by-step projects.
I bought this book knowing in the back of my mind that I'd probably read it and never actually finish one of the projects. Then the rustic fruit box labels caught my eye. I had an ugly huge box of plastic wrap sitting out in the kitchen because I use it constantly. Well, to make a short story long, I took that carton, primed it, chose one of the label designs and followed all the directions, which are very precise, just what I need. When I was almost finished, I looked at that box and confidently put a few extra peaches on the sides of the box, thinking to myself, "This really looks great. I'm proud of it." (Because the box could possibly come in contact with food, I finished it with a couple of coats of pure shellac.)
Great book with wonderful ideas!

I bought this book because of the old milk can on the cover; I fell in love with the old kerosene heater instead. I went on a massive search to find a kersoene heater and once I found one, I had it cleaned and painted in one weekend. This book has great ideas and easy to follow instructions. I will definitely use this book again.
