From Brat to Bronco

Roxanne McCain was gorgeous. She was 5 foot 6 inches of legs that went on for days. She had green eyes that could drop any man to his knees and hair the color of chocolate. She was used to getting whatever she wanted. That is until she applied to her mother's alma mater, Vanderbilt, and didn't get in. Roxanne wasn't looking forward to attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and hoped it would only be a couple semesters. It wasn't a bad school. Her father even received his undergraduate from there and was now a renowned psychiatrist in Los Angeles. Her parents had met one weekend when her mother and a few friends had gone to Chattanooga for a weekend jaunt. They fell in love rather quickly and her mother had followed him to Johns Hopkins. Roxanne's family was well off, so she knew that, regardless of where she went, money wasn't an issue. Even though she didn't want to leave her friends in L. A., she knew it was time to grow up so off she went and tried to make the best of it. She definitely wasn't prepared to meet the one person who could, quite possibly, change her life. Zachary Blaze came from humble beginnings. He was a tall, handsome guy, with wavy black hair and steel-gray eyes. Girls liked him, but didn't fawn all over him. That was more his younger brother's style. His family owned a veterinary clinic in the heart of Chattanooga. It was his father's dream that he had wanted to pass down to both of his sons. After his brother, Bryce, died in a four- wheeling accident at age seventeen, Zachary deferred college wanting to help his family cope and pick up the slack at the clinic. After a year, things were at a new normal and his parents felt it would be okay for him to return to school. He wasn't prepared for his world to be flipped upside down once again, by a woman he detested.Who wins in the game of love? The one who gives up, or the the one who gives in?
