Amazing Series

I love this Series I actually started reading them out of order But I have to say I Love the Storyline and the Characters. Reading These books are like watching a movie in your mind I love them

Love the Violets

I love this concept. I can't get over how Mr. Woodworth keeps revealing more and more about the Violets and how they function. I love how the series is progressing. He is really showing how full his characters are that he's developing and adding different characters for you to care about as he kills off others to make you feel it. I'm not going to write a plot summary since so many others have already did this. I will say that you need to read the previous books for you to get the complete picture of Evan. He's back and badder than ever. I loved the science of how a Violet works and how the brain nodes function. I didn't really like how fast the book wrapped up. I felt that Mr. Woodworth skipped over some things very quickly that I'm hoping he explains more in detail in his next book. I highly recommend this book and the series.

NOT SO SHY VIOLETS

Stephen Woodworth takes us back into the world of the Violets, genetically enhanced humans who serve as portals for the dead. This time around, heroine Natalie Lindstrom and her daughter Callie face evio from the Violet Killer, the serial killer who was murdering Violets and was captured by Natalie. But not until he killed her lover Dan. Now the Killer is aiding a consortium of corps members who are trying to create violets using a serum concocted by the late Dr. Bartholomew Wax, who before he committed suicide had exterminated his test subjects. now the Corps plans to use a Violet to channel Wax and get him to complete his experiments. An intriguing sideline in this book is the channeling of such famous artists including The Scream's Svink and even da Vinci and others. Woodworth keeps the plot moving and manages to make this incredible premise work for his readers.

A Must-Read: Portrait of Woodworth's Best Yet

In this fourth installment of the popular Violet series, Stephen Woodworth takes on the worlds of art and science--and shows his own astonishing progress as a breakthrough creative talent. Natalie Lindstrom, one of the rare conduits for the dead popularly known as "Violets" for their startling violet eyes, is using her long-neglected artistic talent to support her family by creating new artworks in collaboration with well-known deceased artists. A tempting but phony-sounding offer for freelance work as an art forger coincides with the news that the infamous "Violet Killer" is again on the loose, leading Natalie to her most dangerous discovery yet. It seems that the scarcity of conduits for the dead has prompted the government to initiate a special project using gene therapy experiments to convert ordinary people into dead-talkers. Unfortunately, the "treatment" is far from flawless. One of the victims of this "therapy" is Calvin Criswell, an ex art-forger to whom Natalie is dangerously attracted. This novel is Woodworth's most idea-rich work to date, which is saying a lot. The author shows masterful skill in weaving together a tight, action-packed plot with characters, both old and new, that the audience can love, laugh with and fear for. One of the gifts of Woodworth's books is that you can pick up reading anywhere in the series without a problem. But fans of the series will appreciate the re-appearance of some of the most loved and loathed characters in the Violet world, plus a sly tribute to online Violet trackers. Through it all, Woodworth paints a brilliant canvas of art and science, love and hate, life, death and what comes after. A great read!
