Fritz is not your average goat. Why? Because Fritz loves dancing the fandango. His herd thinks he's strange, so he leaves to find a group where he can fit in. On his journey, he comes across Liesel, the yodeling sheep. She is also a misfit and joins Fritz on his journey. Together, they run into Gerhard, the dog who can play the glockenspiel. He's all alone as well, so the three of them go on the search together to find a herd where Fritz fits in. On their trip, poor Fritz comes to realizes he'll never find a place where he belongs. Liesel and Gerhard see this and learn the fandango so they dance along with their friend Fritz. They also learn each one of their talents so they can share in them together. Not having a place to fit in with anyone else, the three make sure they can fit in with each other, and now have a place where they belong. This book is about friendship and embracing what makes you you instead of changing who you are to fit in--two important lessons all kids need to learn. The illustrations are fun and colorful, and the text is easy to read. Pick up //Fritz Dances the Fandango// today for your child or classroom. Reviewed by Jennifer LeBrun
Rich Language and Pictures, Meaningul but Fun Story

This is a lovely and fun story that skips along with a good rhythm, beautiful words and lively pictures. Parents and children alike will learn vocabulary from this book - yet its story is still very approachable for all ages. There has been a lot of debate about school curriculum in my community around diversity and acceptance to prevent bullying behaviors- I think this book would fit in great at schools as well as at home to foster a message of welcoming difference in a fun way.
My two-year-old daughters love this book

The first time I read this book aloud to my daughters (almost 2-1/2) they instantly loved it. Lots of fun, rhythmic sounds and words, like "clippety clop" and "glockenspiel" and some yodeling for good measure. It's just the kind of stuff that preschoolers love. The bold, colorful illustrations are great for kids, while the animals' gestures and expressions will make grown-ups smile, too. I hope to see more from this talented duo in the future.
Wonderful book about friendship.

Well written book about three friends who are true to themselves. My kids love it. I love reading it to them. Lots of energy and fun words - when is the last time you said glockenspiel? The illustrations are bright and upbeat - just look at the cover. I would recommend this to any parent who wants their children to appreciate and nurture differences in themselves and in their friends. Whether you fandango, yodel, play a funky instrument or none of the above you will enjoy this book.
