Positive exploration of friendship

Friends Rule! How to be a Great Pal and Have Great Buds, Too! is a positive and realistic look at friendship for the 8-10 year olds. It includes ideas for how to find new friends by common interests as well as exploring having all kinds of friends -- some a little younger and a little older, etc. It addresses friendships that fade, fighting between friends and how to be a good friend. Here's a quote from the book that is a great example of the style that will appeal to young girls: "Friendships are kind of like roller skating. Sometimes the road is smooth (whee!) and sometimes it's bumpy and tough. You go up and down hills and sometimes you fall and scrape your knee. But usually you have a fun ride."
