A wild ride through strange galaxies and unexpected adventures. But watch your step -- and don't step in anything gross or smelly along the way The Outernet is a web of intergalactic computer networks... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Outernet is about a boy named Jack, and his two friends Merle and Loaf. For Jack's birthday he gets a laptop. at first he thinks it is an ordinary laptop, but when he and his friends open it they find out that it is a computer that leads to the Outernet, an intergalactic internet, but some 'bad guys' are trying to find it. They are trying to find it because that is all they need in order to control the galaxy which would mean no freedom for others. I liked Outernet because it was a book that was more straight to the point. It also had lots of action. I also liked it because it was just a good science - fiction book. One dislike I had of the book was that the end sort of dragged.
An Eye-Catching Book

Outernet is about Jack, and his friends Merle and Loaf. Jack has a "normal" laptop, only it's not so normal. It links them to a place called the Outernet. Jack and his friends (and Bitz and Googie, metamorphing animals) hold the key to the beginning and the end of the Outernet. It is a very engrossing book, as is the entire Outernet series. A great read!

If you like sci-fi, this is a book that will boggle your brain! When Jack, Loaf, and Merle stumble opon The Server, they imidiately overlook the fine print. But after Jack is teleported to another planet and the pets start talking, they start getting the picture. A PAN-GALACTIC WEB OF INFORMATION! So they consider their options. they could vaporize their enemies, send people to other planets and make a fortune, or rescue the Galaxy from evil. This is a book that you won't be able to put down until you're done(when you are done, you'll buy the next book in the series).

Outernet 1 is a great book because it is cool, scary, and even funny. It is also short enough to not become overwelming....I read the book in 45 minutes.

I'm only 11, but I finished this book in 4 days! (It was acctually three because I thought I left it at school one day!) This book is amazingly compelling, and connecting to the "outernet" (...) makes reading it more fun. I love this book!
