The Revolutionary WarMassachusetts, 1775. The colonies are torn between those wanting independence from England and those who are loyal to the king. Patriots Dan and Asa Kelly demand liberty and boast about teaching the Redcoats a lesson. Dan's wife Erin, a Loyalist, wants to settle the differences with their mother country. No one expects the Revolutionary War to come so suddenly, but shots are fired and men die at Lexington and Concord. Asa is pulled from his farm into the fights in Menotomy and on Noddle's Island while Dan and Erin, bookstore owners in town, know the tightening grip of the British during the siege of Boston. They all meet at the showdown, in mid-June, of the Battle of Bunker Hill.
