Raylyn said, "Pumpkin, next week is Thanksgiving week. Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and it's a holiday Lots of people travel to see family and friends, so they have Friday off, and then there's the real Saturday."

"Oh, is we trabilin?"

Raylyn bent her knees so she was on Heidi's eye level. She smiled at her child, zipped the coat and said, "Yes, Honey, we're going to see Grandma Isabel. I don't think you remember her, but she's a special lady. You'll love her, I know, and she already loves you."

"Mommy, is you getting' me a new daddy some day?"

Raylyn gasped, Where had that idea come from? Heidi Why do you ask?"

Roger was in his office. He'd never heard those voices before. One was a child's, but the other was a young woman's. Isabel and her company had arrived. He walked into the auditorium with a smile.
