What a Joke

My five stars was the only way to get my review noticed, I give the book NEGATIVE 5 PLASTIC STARS. I happened to read the last time someone gave 4-5 stars and it sounded like Lesko to me so I kept looking... See June 2 2000 and June 12 2000, they're the only reviews giving 4-5 stars (besides mine) I'm telling you its gotta be Lesko. what a joke, he even uses the same "Who wants to be a millionaire" phrase in both reviews, it's definitely him. What author gives his own book reviews? of course they're perfect scores. do yourself a favor, obviously you have the brain capacity to search things online. go to google, type in: Foundation Grants to Individuals and there you go. On another note, maybe Lesko HAS helped get us rich, he's shown us how to use Jefferson's "invisible hand" which is American greed, to become rich, read on to find out how. 1. Use the free demo of photoshop to plaster wacky pics of yourself on the cover of an old address book. 2. Come up with a catchy book title that people in actual need will lap up like hungry kittens. Something like "Quick Sexy Money Fast." 3. Go to google, type in Foundation Grants to Individuals and find a grant for a small business. 4. Use money to publish/advertise your book yourself. 5. Give a money back guarantee so people dont feel worried, (they'll either forget, give it as a gift, or never really get into in and give up.) Take 4 months to payback the few who DO ask for their money back (GENIOUS because all that time means free interest in the authors bank account) Not bad, usually money making schemes take more than 5 steps. Thank you Lesko for your GENIOUS idea (and you wondered why I gave it 5 stars)

Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover

First, you have to realize that this book isn't going to start throwing money at you. You need to do quite a lot of work to get the ball rolling. What other people haven't mentioned is that this book is a resource guide. Mr. Lesko does all the research for you; all you have to do is take that information and run with it. I would much rather have this book with nearly all the information I need to apply for a government grant then have to do all the research myself and then apply for a grant. Mr. Lesko is simply taking all the leg work out of the application process by doing the research for you...that's what you need to understand.

The volume is well researched and topical for the price paid.

It works, with lots of hard work.

I've been absolutely amazed by all the negative reviews out here. Most of these reviews are from people that have probably never picked the book up, or simply don't want to do the work. If someone doesn't know before picking the book up that much of the hype is just promo needs to wakeup to the real world. Anyone knows that if you're going to get government money you have to work for it and do the research and devote the time. I mean come on, does anyone really believe they can go out buy the book, call a number and be told right away congrats you've got a grant! Here's some facts for those mis-informed individuals. 1. Matthew Lesko doesn't have the time to write positive reviews. The book's are selling themselves, he doesn't have to peddle for reviews. Get real!2. It takes month and months to gather this information, it doesn't happen overnight. Places or agencies, do go out of business or change numbers.3. As for the wrong information pertaining people to talk to regarding these grants. For your information, Lesko does not write his own books. Perhaps some of his researchers give out the wrong information. People will do anything to make money!!4. There are grants and money out there, but those government agencies see Lesko as an enemy because once people find out they can get the money, that means those people will have to actually do some work and not pocket the money themselves. At the present time I'm a on a TEAM of researchers for Matthew Lesko. I can tell you the money is out there, matter of fact I'm in the process of trying to get some grants. His researchers do a lot of research, but we aren't foolproof. Are any of YOU? And for those that think you have to be diasbled or a minority to get a grant. Another falsehood. Most of the research i've done is, if those said people get the money it's not very much. Most of the money go to everyday white people. I suggest those that want to buy this book, actually talk to people that have READ the book. And, before buying the book, go to the library to make sure the book is what you want.

A great book if you're willing to DO YOUR PART!

I can't understand why a large number of prior reviewer are so unhappy with this book. If your assumption is that money will come falling out of the sky just by purchasing this book, then you will be just as disappointed as those who have such a negative opinion about this text. If you're looking to retire or quit your job off of the information in this book, you may be disappointed as well. I think the intent is mostly for those who want to look at an additional source of funding, NOT a primary source. For those of you who are willing to work at looking at available sources, making a phone call (or two, or three! ), and exerting some effort on your part, then this book should get you going in the right direction. One of the first pages of this book states in black and white that most of this will be outdated before you can use it, but with a little effort you can get the information you want. I know of a number of colleagues from all walks of life and various disciplines that found this book to be of tremendous help to them (funding research and personal interests by following the advice in this book), so the argument that it's only for specific people is not extremely accurate. You have to be willing to do your part in order for this text to work. If you anticipate this being similar to "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", where you sit for an hour or so and have money appear out of nowhere, you will be just as disappointed as the other reviewers of this text. YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK!
