In this Franklin Classic Storybook, our hero is a very lucky turtle. He has the best friends, the best little sister, the best goldfish and, of course, the best mother. But when he discovers that his mother's birthday is coming up, he can't find the best present. After giving it some serious thought, Franklin decides to do everything for his mom. On the morning of her birthday he takes her breakfast in bed, makes a brooch, draws a picture and cuts fresh flowers from the garden And then Franklin gives his mom a great big hug and says, ?I love you? --- which is, of course, the best gift of all.
Franklin knows that he has the best mother in the world, and with her birthday coming up, he wants to get her the best gift ever. He asks his friends for some ideas, but none of them seem good enough. And in the end, Franklin learns that what his mother wants more than anything is three little words, "I love you." This is a very good Franklin book, very touching. As with all of the Franklin stories, this one is very well written, and the illustrations are bright and well-done. This is a great book, one that I give my highest recommendations to!

"Franklin Says I Love You" is one of the final releases of the original "Franklin" books by Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark and it's definitely one of the sweetest. This book is about Franklin searching for the perfect gift for his Mom's birthday. Franklin loves his Mom. She plays catch with him and reads him two stories every night before bed, even when she's tired. So Franklin really wants to do something special for his Mom. You'll admire the sweetness of this story as Franklin finds the best gift of all. The illustrations are brightly colored and richly detailed. Almost all are full-page.

*****My 2 year old daughter can't sleep without hearing this book before bedtime! It was my eldest book, and this book has sparked her interest in Franklin so much that we own almost all of them now. It is a great story and at the end when Franklin tells his mother he loves her she tells me she loves me too. I would reccomend this book to anyone. I enjoy it as much as she does. You have got to check this book out!*****
