It starts from nowhere and goes nowhere, but it's fun to watch.

This made-for-TV series resembles the typical made-for-TV shows on the Sci-Fi channel. However, most of the actors are well known （such as Alice Krige ... Lady Jessica Atreides）, and the others should and possibly will become well known. The actors do not overshadow the characters. The sets and costumes are better than the usual made-for-TV standards, and the dialogue isn't the typical over-the-top, rehashed soap-opera tripe. The story stays fairly faithful to the books （the second and third books in the original series）, enough for true Dune fans to enjoy. The story begins where the movies leave off, showing the politics and treachery alongside the n-o--b-i-l-i-t-y of the next few generations. In the end, we are left with the question "What is the Golden Path?"
