Francis Marion, The Swamp Fox by Hugh Rankin

This book is an invaluable historic tool to understanding how the patriots of the Revolution had to struggle in the fight for Independence. Not everyone in the Colonies were sympathetic to the rebel cause, especially in the South. Francis Marion learned his guerilla war methods from the Cherokee whom he had fought and used these methods to constantly harass the British supply line as well as in the major battles in the South leading to the British split, withdrawl, and their loss at Yorktown within 2 weeks after the last battle in NC.

The best Biography of Marion

This book is the best biography of Francis Marion and one of the best available on the Southern Campaign of the Revolutionary War, topped only by Pancake's history of the British campaign in the south.
