An always dependable author, both creative and inventive. I think that in the coal mine of mystery fiction, she may be the diamond lode.
A Wonderful Writer

First, would Oprah just go away? Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's sellin' books, but not always good ones. Margot Dalton deserves far more attention than she's got as a writer..an enormously creative force at work here--this woman's books about suspense and children rank up there with the best. Yo--I'm talking about you, Henry James. Will publishing get real and put some muscle behind this writer? Hardly a chance--she ain't rubber stamp, just darned good.

I always enjoy this writer, who has vibrant, convincing characters that I can believe in. I root for this unique detective, and once again I'm impressed at the depth and realism of the villain.
A very entertaining Kaminsky novel
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 25 years ago
On maternity leave, Spokane Detective Jackie Kaminsky buys a home in a quite neighborhood that consists mostly of senior citizens. Jackie's childhood was marred by an abusive grandmother. This makes any permanent commitment even to the father of her unborn child, the person she loves (Paul Arnussen) extremely difficult. While digging in her garden, Jackie and Paul uncover the remains of a woman and newborn baby. Jackie obtains departmental permission to question her neighbors about the bones that were buried for three decades. When she receives a threatening note that provides grim details that only the killer would know, Jackie realizes that the murderer will kill again to rebury the past. The fourth Jackie Kaminsky romantic mystery is a winner! The who-done-it is well plotted inside a believable story line. Though clues are provided, readers will not be able to identify the killer until talented Margot Dalton reveals the culprit. In addition to the brilliant murder mystery, FOURTH HORSEMAN provides the fourth evolution of the relationship between Paul and the heroine. Ms. Dalton scores big time with this entertaining novel.Harriet Klausner
