March 11, 2005 After I read Ms. Eriksson's book, "Forget the Fairytale," I felt enlightened and then validated. I realized that I'm not the only woman on the planet to have had problems truly connecting with men. I just haven't met "the one" and since reading her book have started sifting through my experiences to see where I sold myself short and what I could do about it. In this book Ms. Eriksson provided me with the practical tools needed for creating myself a better life. I feel free to use these newly discovered tools to provide a stronger foundation for my new relationships (making her yummy recipes is also a terrific idea for entertaining purposes!). Using these tools enhanced my self esteem and self worth. Ms. Eriksson's book also provided me with some pretty good "come back" lines; she's very quick on her feet! Her keen sense of observation is right on track related to male/female relationships and how males do and don't handle commitment; or just dating well in general. Using humor, describing real life experiences, and her educational background made "Forget the Fairytale" an enjoyable and wonderful read. Ms. Eriksson really "hit the nail on the head" when she wrote this book. It was entertaining, constructive, and worthwhile for me to take time out of my busy life to learn about myself, the men I've dated and had relationships with, and how to proceed into the future better prepared and wiser.
