I lost a brother 34 years ago in a tragic incident and I still, until today when I finished reading this book, sought to understand why he had to leave us at the ripe old age of seven. It was not an obsession, mind you, but more an insatiable curiosity. Over the years I've read numerous books on near death experiences to try and get some kind of reassurance that his life wasn't just about seven years, but maybe about the lasting impact he had on those that knew him, and that hopefully he is still with us in some form or other, because it often felt that way. I can't say that I got, entirely, what I was looking for out of those books. There was some comfort, most assuredly, but until I read this remarkable book, which confirmed so many suspicions, and duplicated some of my own experiences, did I find a more profound sense of peace. This is a must read particularly for parents who have lost a child, but really for anyone who has lost someone they love and are having a difficult time coming to terms with the loss.
Light From Darkness

My daughter was murdered in a senseless shooting in Seattle recently. A friend of mine sent me a copy of this book to read. I identified so closely with the struggle the author had gone through in the days that followed her loss. Through out this book I found comfort, hope, and understanding. I am forever grateful to Linda, the author, for having the courage to so honestly share her experience, and ease my own suffering.
A Story of Hope for those who've lost loved ones . . .

This is a most touching book that offers hope and inspiration to anyone who has lost a loved one and is experiencing or hoping to experience communication with them. Messages are sometimes subtle and others can be of great magnitude. Either way, Linda shares her experiences in a rare and honest discussion of a mother experiencing both grief and joy in the messages she receives from her son. A quick, easy read that will touch your heart and forever change the way you think about "whispers in your ear."
