This is a very sturdy book made with fine quality materials. It may last the average daily entry for decades. My personal preference is that there should not be a silly little promo sticker on the cover. The UPC label on the back was difficult enough to remove. Also, I would prefer that the ledger lines be lighter or even non existent. Ledger lines are for accountants and grammar school kids. Other blank books I've used leave all the fancy designs on the outside where they belong. (Everyone writes differently; individual thinkers don't need any lines telling them where to write.) I suppose that Flavia wanted to make an extra fancy diary for, ledger lines and all. In that sense, it works perfectly for most people as a daily diary.
Great Design

Hi, I bought this book with hopes on finding a journal that I can keep and finish it. I've never had luck with finishing a journal mostly because they either fell apart, or it was to hard to keep open to write in. I've been using this journal since November, and I love the fact that it actually lies flat when I go to write in it. I also love the cover design's, and the attatched bookmark, so I can keep my place in the journal. If you want a quality journal I'd recommend you getting a book by Flavia, and if you love the colors you should get Forever by Flavia...if you don't like red /tan I'm sure you can find a color combination you like.
Flavia Blank Books

I have enjoyed the magical drawings and sweet sentiments of Flavia's greeting cards and gift books since the 80's. I was delighted when I discovered that there is now a line of journals with Flavia artwork and inspirational titles. These colorful journals lay flat for easy writing and have an elastic band on the back that can be used as a bookmark. The front picture is set back in a cutout. This book is thick enough to hold many thoughts for avid writers who don't want to replace journals monthly. I write on the front and back of the lined pages and mine last 2-6 months. For me, it is long enough to feel like it was worth my money and short enough for periodic fresh starts. I have gone through more then 3 Flavia journals, and still prefer them over others on the market. I just hope more designs keep coming out! Your only problem with this journal will be choosing which one to pick first!
