Forensic history and more

This book is great for anyone interested in forensic origin. It would also provide great information for a book report on the history of forensics. "Using science to investigate crimes" can be found in the introduction of this book. "James Marsh and Toxicology", "Henry Faulds and Fingerprints", "Albert Sherman Osborn and Questioned Documents", "Charles Waite and Calvin Goddard and Firearm Examination, "Mildred Trotter and Forensic Anthropology", "Jacques Penry and Photo-FIT", and "Alec Jeffreys and DNA Fingerprints" are chapters which not only show who discovered the forensic techniques but also give you background history, breakthroughs, and results of each method listed. "Forensics in the Future: Trends in Technology" is the wrap up and can be found in the back of the book. The book is readable for grades 6th - 12th. I encourage any one who wants to learn more about forensics to check it out.

This book provides interesting and very informative info on the history of forensic science. It explores the many fields of forensics including: toxicology, fingerprints, forgery, ballistics, forensic anthropology, photo-FIT, and DNA analysis. It also inludes the big names and historic cases in the world of forensic investigation. Excellent photo's give it a very nice look as well. This book averaged a readabillity grade level of about 10.5. This book is great for anyone wanting to learn about forensics ranging in age from 6th grade to 12th.
