Deliciously Sensual

Cheryl Holt has a long list of erotic romance books that do not disappoint the erotic romance fan. Each story is a satisfying fantasy read that pushes the limits of sensuality. In this latest "Fantasy" series book, as in "Secret Fantasy," the character's desires and sensuality titillates and may even shock the reader, but never leaves an erotic romance fan disappointed. With each book written, she proves that she has earned the right to be in the list of "Top 25 Erotic Writers of All Time." When Lady Caroline Foster's fiancé suddenly marries another, she is left hurt and humiliated with her girlhood dreams and expectations of planning to be a Viscount's wife crushed. As if this disappointment is not enough, her father decides to have her hastily marry an older man. In her confusion, further humiliation, and disgust at having to be married and bed an old man, she turns to her previous friend, Ian Clayton, the illegitimate step-brother of her former fiancé. This is the last Holt book I read

I have rather mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, I quite enjoyed it and feel some of the other reviewers are a bit harsh. I agree the ending was not in keeping with the rest of the book but otherwise it was fine, but I acknowledge that my loyalty to it may be a result of how much I enjoyed 'Complete abandon'. But I have to say that this will be the last book by Holt that I read: she just replicates each book with nothing much more than a change of names. I have lost track of the number of times I have read scenes where the hero explains how sex works to the heroine. So if you're going to try Holt's work, just stick with 'Complete abandon'.

terrific heated Regency romance

In 1814 London, twenty-five years old Lady Caroline Foster has been betrothed to Lord John Clayton for quite awhile, but she patiently waits for him to set the date they marry. However, instead he uncaringly jilts her and weds someone else. Caroline is stunned by the scandal as the Ton assumes she is at fault. Knowing she will probably accept the next proposal to come her way by widowers two and three times her age and knowing her reputation is battered, Caroline decides she will first taste passion before marital imprisonment. She turns to noted rake Ian Clayton, John's illegitimate Scottish half-brother. Ian has been attracted to Caroline but has hidden his feelings from her so eagerly accepts being her sexual mentor. However, he initially assumed he was in lust, but quickly realizes he loves his apprentice and feels she reciprocates, but to persuade her that their FORBIDDEN FANTASY is forever proves difficult especially when rumors spread about her lineage. This terrific heated Regency romance stars two fully developed protagonists that share in common, desire, love, and doubts. The story line is driven by their changing relationship, which before their sexual encounters was based on her being a snob towards people like him; an offspring of an illicit affair with a commoner. Cheryl Holt provides a delightful tale as Ian and Caroline find their FORBIDDEN FANTASY fulfilled, but for how long. Harriet Klausner

Her books make me anxious & unconfortable - but keep coming back - another good book...

Forbidden Fantasy by Cheryl Holt is classic Holt mix of evil and good. Caroline is being force by her crazy parents to marry a pedophile. She seeks out Ian Clayton to ruin her. Ian and Caroline fight, love and fight some more through out the novel. The secondary characters are very egregious! If you enjoy this genre check out Too Scandalous to Wed by Alexandra Benedict, Tempted at Every Turn by Robyn Dehart and The Lady Lies by Samantha Saxon.
