I really liked this book because it had a great theme and neatcharacters. It also had a very surprising ending. The girl writes inher journal to her substitute teacher and she pours out your heart. It is F.Y.E.O!

I think For your eyes only was one of the best books I have ever read. I think the story is a great story . it was so good that I never wanted to stop reading it. I love the way it was put in journal form. I love the color in the cover because it just jumps right at you and says READ ME READ ME! I think it is a great book for anyone.

For Your Eyes Only! -- a fast-paced novel, based on the journals of two pre-teenagers (Lucy and her nemesis, Andy), will be a satisfying and poignant reminder to you of what it is like to grow up. Joanne Rocklin has written a novel of truth and humor-- capturing the struggles and successes of two young people as they navigate the shoals of friendship, divorce, "secret love" and an abusive family relationship. An added bonus is the beautiful poetry she has woven so deftly into the story along with a metaphorical sub-plot of migrating ducks who lay their eggs at these children's apartment complex. Read For Your Eyes Only! with your child or your students-- you will find much to discuss and ponder here! Don't be surprised if this book inspires them to start keeping their own journals...
