A "tween" is the age group just before the teenage years, but, I think that a teenager could also benefit greatly from this book. I bought this devotional for my 10 year old son. Yes, he can read but I read it to him just before bed so that I can be a part of its words and sentiments. And wonderful words and sentiments they are! One day at a time, one page at a time, I have found the thoughts in these devotionals to be perfectly aimed at his age group. They are clear and simple to understand without talking down to the child, and without being preachy. Here are a few of the daily titles: "You're so very special," "Searching for the right kind of treasure," "Walking with the wise," and "Living in an anxious world." I find the sentiments written in this book to be a perfect way to end my son's (or any child's) day. If I had a daughter, they would be just as appropriate: they are not themed with the male "tween" or teen in mind. If you are looking for a really well-written daily devotional for your child, this is it. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Buy it... you'll see. -Anthony
