WOW!! Where do I begin? I read this book 11 years ago, when I was 13. I was reluctant at first, but my dad encouraged me to do so. He told me it would change my life. It did! I couldn't put it down. I think I read the whole book in a weekend. I cried through every page. I could really relate to this woman. The book is about Nora Lamm and her family and about Red Communist China. She talks of Buddhism and the abuse and persecution she felt because she was a Christian. This book is her testimony. It is powerful! God was with her every step of the way, guiding her steps and protecting her. At one point, she is standing in front of a firing squad blind-folded, about to be shot and she hears the shots being fired at her and sees a flash of light. Not one bullet hit her! An angel of the Lord blocked all of the bullets. After being beaten and tortured and worked to death, she was released. I won't give anymore away. Nora Lamm's story is truly inspirational. It shows that God's love for us is unchanging. We just need to call on Him and He meets every need. I recommend this book highly. Enjoy and may God Bless you!
