so sad

I'm so sad to see the series end. All of the sisters were great and I wish she did a story on the mother, but that's ok. I'm really glad I found these books.

The third triplet's story.

Centuries ago the Viking known as Thorgood the Wolf claimed a powerful seer, Aisling, as his own. One known as Borg challenged Thorgood for the woman and was defeated. With Aisling's unlimited gifts, Borg could have ruled the world. Instead, he was left with nothing. Borg put a curse on the line of Thorgood and Aisling. The Men of Wolf, the Protectors, pledged to safeguard Aisling and her children through time. Leona Chablis, the oldest of the triplets, has been a widow for five years now. Leona has been told that she has more than one gift and the ability to be the strongest, even stronger than her world-famous psychic mother, Greer Aisling. But Leona wants nothing to do with her heritage, much less her gifts. That does not stop the nightmares of the evil man with piercing black eyes or of the visions about Aisling, her ancestor. Leona's sisters, Claire and Tempest, are married to "Protectors", men descended from Thorgood's warriors. Their bonds keep them safe. Leona is the only triplet without a Protector. Even though Leona refuses to admit her fear, Aisling's words still haunt her: "He's coming, a descendant of Borg. He wants to kill you, or worse - he may take your mind. Once done, the bond that keeps your family strong will weaken and they, too, will suffer." (Permission for quote given by the author.) Worse, Leona cannot deny that she can actually feel the evil man's presence. He is very close and getting ready to strike. Owen Shaw and his sister, Janice, have been living in the area for two weeks. Janice is no longer mentally stable. She keeps talking about "him" and spirit voices telling her awful things. Owen seeks Leona's help for Janice. Janice has a minor psychic talent and Borg's descendant has been using her, as he has so many others. Unable to turn away the fragile young lady, Leona begins testing her powers. Leona and Owen soon come to understand that everything is about to come to a head. One of the ancient lines, Borg or Thorgood, is about to be ended forever. ***** I hated seeing this trilogy come to an end. After reading the story of each triplet, I feel as if they are close family friends. On the plus side, this means the author, Cait London, can begin a new trilogy to charm me all over again. I can hardly wait! This story is very haunting, but I could not help but feel that one or two things were repeated too often. (My copy is unedited and the actual book may not have the repeats.) Since this is the last book of the trilogy, more time is spent on dealing with Borg's descendant than on the romance developing between Leona and Owen. However, I am not unhappy with how the author got around this problem. I will say no more on that. In this story, every character plays an important role and the plot has multiple layers. The sisters, their mother, and even their new husbands are all secondary characters (most via phone) and vital to Leona's story. I loved every minute I spent reading it! Now come on Cait London, charm me

This is the third book in the psychic triplets trilogy and features the eldest triplet, Leona. Both of her sisters have passed through the eye of danger and are safe with their protectors. Now Leona knows that the danger is coming after her, but she doesn't know in what form. She's also unprepared, since she has never wanted her gift of sight-and hasn't worked at all to develop it. When a young gifted woman, Janet, comes to her for help, she doesn't have the heart to turn her away, despite everything she's going through. With the help of Janet's brother, Owen, Leona must unravel the mystery surrounding Janet as well as end the curse that has surrounded her family for generations. I loved the first two books in this trilogy and could not wait to get my hands on this book to find out what happens next! In the beginning I was sadly disappointed. The story of Leona starts out much slower than I'd hoped, and I had quite a bit of trouble forcing myself to continue reading. After the first couple of chapters everything picked up and I was again with the author I've come to love, and happy that I had forced myself to continue reading. Though this book deals mainly with Leona's story, the backstory is what had me most interested. We still have all of the same lovable characters from the first two books making appearances, and we finally get some answers to questions that have been plaguing us since the beginning. The best part for me was finally finding out whom the bad guy was and what he was trying to achieve. Anyone who has read the first two books in this series needs to read this book. Though Leona's story could stand on its own, the important part of this book is that it finally draws a conclusion to the family saga that has been shown throughout all three books. Armchair Interviews says: Nice ending to a great trilogy.

engaging urban romantic fantasy

One of the Aisling triplets Leona hates having psychic abilities unlike her siblings. However, making matters worse she knows a psychopathic psychic seeking vengeance against her family has targeted her as the weakest link because she loathes using her skill and has failed to best her two sisters (see A STRANGER'S TOUCH and AT THE EDGE). Owen Shaw pleads with Leona to help him rescue his disturbed sister caught by a dangerous psychic vampire. Reluctantly she agrees to assist him in rescuing her. As Leona and Owen fall in love, they must use their feelings as a team if they are to stop the maniac stalking her and save his sibling. The third Aisling triplets' urban romantic fantasy is an engaging tale though there is a lot of repetition that slows down the pace of the plot. Owen and Leona is a fun pairing as he needs her skills, but she detests using her talent. Although not as strong as the previous entries, fans will enjoy this final tale of the three sisters whose love for each other bonds them on the moral and paranormal planes. Harriet Klausner
