For crying out loud read this book

This book is a page-turner. If you have ever been in love or ever hope to be you can relate. The story is intriguing and unfolds with small surprises. Can't wait to read the second novel in this series - For the Love of God - coming this month.

VERY IMPRESSIVE

The author's insight and descriptions of the human psyche are phenomenal. You are quickly pulled into this story and the characters she has created. The details are vivid. We are intimately taken through the roller coaster ride of two individuals trying to find not only themselves but each other. CP Whitaker has a cunning sense of humor and a down to Earth voice in her work that makes this more than an enjoyable read. I highly recommend it to those who are looking for more than the generic love story.

Waiting anxiously for book 2

I've never been this swept up by a book and I'm an avid reader. FCOL is the first in a 6 book chronicle on the life and times of Alex and Marissa. Never having re-read a book, I was surprised to find myself reading it not only twice but three times in the space of a month. Someone else who read FCOL says she finds herself just picking the book up and reading chapter. You start to feel like you know Alex and Marissa and wish to be reunited with old friends.

I loved it, you will too!

I enjoyed this book so much! It is an easy and enjoyable romp through a relationship's trials and tribulations. It is also a very deep and thoughtful treatment of the effects outside influences and prejudices can have on even the strongest bond between two people.Whitaker, an extraordinary story teller, has done what few authors have been able to do - the story unfolded like a movie inside my head. I knew it was a GOOD book when I found myself laughing out loud one moment and tearing up the next. I highly recommend this book.
