Life-Saver Cookbook

Absolutely FANTASTIC book. The recipe's are all "do-able", no-nonsense and the results are just out of this world! It's the perfect book for people who want to maintain a certain style and standard of quality but don't want to become slave's to the kitchen. Apart from all that, the book is fun & funny, the author speaks to you rather than AT you (as too many cook books do). This woman should be on TV! Suits all ages and makes the perfect gift for just about anyone. I thoroughly reccommend it!

Unpretentious, sophisticated cooking for any food lover.

Soudavar puts the ease and delight of fresh food back into the kitchen with her lighthearted, delicious style. If you enjoy fine food but haven't the time or patience for fussy, complicated recipes, this book is for YOU.

A good read AND a great cookbook

This cookbook is excellent. I use it all the time when I entertain. From the lucious but simple sliced oranges to the Northern European flavours of Muscovite salad, this book has plenty to recommend it. I've tried about half of the recipes in the book. They were great. Possibly the thing I like most about the book is that exact measurements aren't included. It's more a dash of this and a pinch of that. It's the sort of free-wheeling cookery that appeals to me: I can shape the dish as I like. What's more, the text that accompanies the recipes is literate and most enjoyable to read. The tone sort of makes one think of "A year in Provence," by Peter Mayle. The photography is also great.Do give "Food to Die For" a try. I heartily recommend this book.

FOODS TO LIVE FOR!

"Food to die for! by Kim Soudavar. Is more than just cooking, it is a delightful romp in the kitchen where one can only imagine the Dining Room! If you enjoy cooking you will surely enjoy this book! Well worth adding to your library shelf. I would give my eye teeth just to join in this frolic of food. Look for the 'sidebars' it's not just lawyers who do this! Bon appetite!
