Groundbreaking Book

Originally published back in 1979 as "The Food Connection", this book broke new ground in establishing the connection between what one eats and how one feels, in mind and body, after eating. In the introduction, Carlton Fredericks says "Drs. Michael Schachter and David Sheinkin have here written a book which proposes -- with all justification -- to persuade you that something present in your food or environment can be responsible for many symptoms of both mind and body. The fact that they are right will, it is hoped, speed professional acceptance of the thesis, although the 'medical lag' to which these physicians refer is seemingly inevitable." Although the above-mentioned lag still exists, one can find answers in the offices of today's alternative and complementary physicians as to whether one's dis-ease is caused by food, drugs, pollutants in water or air, or anything else in one's environment.
