Very helpful! Great insights!

I’m a pre-K teacher and sometimes I have “picky eaters” in my class. Reading this really helped me come up with ideas for how to help my students try new things and make sure their tummies are full and happy. Highly recommend to anyone who has to feed young children.

Informative and easy to read

This book is a great overview of all things food related. Drs. Shu and Jana do an excellent job of addressing topics as varied as introducing foods, ensuring adequate veggie intake, food on the road, and brushing, all in an easy to read format (which is critical for most busy parents!) The book made me realize how little veggies my son eats (sadly) and how I've been slacking on offering them to him. They do a great job of covering topics and offering suggestions without making you feel like a bad parent. I'd definitely recommend the book for anyone who has to feed children! A terrific resource for my baby and toddler!

This is such a terrific book. I have read it and use it often. It helps me see my toddler's eating habits in a new light. It gave me ideas on how to start my baby on solid foods with less trepidation. It also has great advice on ways to deal with grandparents and their ideas of "good nutrition". I feel like I have an advocate in the authors. They are real parents who have faced real nutrition issues too. Knowledge is power, and I feel better armed with this book!

Finally, a kids-and-food book that makes sense!

I just paged through Food Fights and I am so impressed -- and relieved! Impressed because Drs. Shu and Jana have managed to squeeze the HUGE topic of feeding kids into an easy to read book, and relieved that (for once!) I'm not being talked down to or lectured by experts. Their book is funny and wise all at once, plus it's a fast read, which are all great things for a mom. I'd recommend it to any parent, first time or veteran.

thank goodness for food fights

My grandson and I always fought about meals. I'd serve veggies and he'd ask for bread. After reading Food Fights, I learned tips and tricks to encourage him to try new healthy food items. Now meals are fun and nutritious. Thank you Drs Jana and Shu for your fabulous advice.

The best food and nutrition book for infants and toddlers!

This is the best food and nutrition guide for infants and toddlers I've seen. The authors are practical, funny and offered great advice for avoiding food battles with my kids. I am no longer afraid to take them out to restaurants or get them to try new foods. Mealtime is much happier and healthier now.
