A great way to learn flower arranging.

This book will give all the basic information about flower arrangement. It has a lot of colorful photos (including the final product of the arrangement) which is helpful when you want to create (or compare) your own arrangement. However, I must say that it take more than just this book to create a good arrangement (especially if you want to experiement with different variation). It takes good creativity and imagination to create a good arrangement. Here are some more of the pros and cons: Pros: 1. It tells step-by-step (easy to follow though not easy to create a great arrangement) 2. Lots of photos (photo at each stages) 3. Cover all the basics (for all kind of flower arrangement types) 4. Covers most common flowers that you can imagine (Gerbera, Tulip, Rose, Carnation, Orchids, Sunflower, Lilies etc) 5. Covers some additional exotic (and less common) arrangement like the curly bamboo, snake grass, underwater arrangement etc. 6. Tips and tricks on many things (on flowers, or arrangements) 7. The arrangements from the book are beautiful (one can just copy/follow and still have a good arrangement, assuming they can follow the instruction correctly) Cons: 1. It talks about color theory but it doesn't talk about color dynamics and color pairing (it doesn't give the example of what color works best with which color. I guess they are implying that color is a personal preference) Bottom line: This book really inspire me (though you have to have good imagination to create a good flower bouquets). And at a bare minimum, this book should be able to help you get started in creating your own flower arrangement. Happy flower arranging!
